	Overview

Our Business Faculty has a long tradition of excellence in scholarship and practice. The tradition, combined with carefully designed, up-to-date and broad-based programmes, and the selection of the finest group of student entrants helps us to produce graduates of the highest calibre, well-recognized by the community. Our faculty member, numbering close to 10,000 are placed in prominent management positions throughout Hong Kong and beyond.

Our past record of excellence, however, does not make us complacent. We recognized the complex and ever-changing economic, political, social and technological environment that our graduates have to operate in and adapt our programmes to meet the challenges of such change. We try constantly to anticipate the needs of future graduates, and continue to provide our students well into the 21st Century, with one of the best business educations available anywhere. This is our commitment not only to our students, but also to society.

Since we establish the very first MBA programme in Hong Kong in 1966, we have maintained a leadership position in graduate management programmes through an uncompromising insistence on quality and innovation. The goal to provide world-class management talent is rigorously pursued in our MBA Programmes with an emphasis on the balance between academic competence and relevance.

	History of CUMBA Alumni Association

In early 1997, Prof. Japhet Law, the program director of CUMBA, has determined to improve the networking power of MBA alumni in light of the program's long history and the massive number of graduates holding key positions in the community.

The historical split of the alumni bodies between the two year and three year programs has diluted the consolidating force of the network; such link is likely to be further weakened when alumni from the EMBA program were to set up an alumni entity of their own. The integration of all alumni bodies can create a critical mass in the Missions set forth as stated in this web-site.

Prof. Law has taken the initiative to pull together the existing committee members of the alumni assoications and after quite a lot of efforts contributed by founding Council members of the association, we are proud that we are here today.

For a one-time entrance fee of HK$ 200, you can become a member of the CUMBA Alumni Association and enjoy a variety of membership services and privileges ranging from activities, reunion gatherings, sports events to regular news bulletins and job notices.
